PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course (AOWC)
Once certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, you can dive to a maximum depth of 30 metres (21 metres for 12 – 14 year olds), allowing you access to some of the best dive sites in the world without any additional certifications.
This course, which can be done in two days, develops what you have learned previously and introduces new skills with additional activities and new ways to have fun with scuba diving.
You will develop your techniques by doing five adventure dives of which two are mandatory, Underwater Navigation and Deep Diving; the other three adventure dives can be chosen from a range of types of diving such as wreck diving, night diving, digital underwater imaging; all of them making the most of the spectacular dive sites we have here in Lanzarote.

Course duration: 2 days
Prerequisites.
- Minimum age 12 years old.
Note: Divers 10 and 11 years old can earn the Adventure Diver certification which consists of 3 adventure dives. - PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent.
Physical requirements.
All student divers complete PADI Standard medical questionnaire that asks about medical conditions that could be a problem while diving. If none of these apply, sign the form and you’re ready to start. If any of these apply to you, your doctor must, as a safety precaution, assess the condition as it relates to diving and sign a medical form that confirms you’re fit to dive.
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course consists of five adventure dives and five knowledge reviews. The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver manual includes a chapter on all the standardised adventure dives but you just need to read the chapter and complete the knowledge review for the dives you are completing.
Your instructor will work out your chosen dives and schedule with you when you arrive and will fully explain what will be involved in each session.

Emergency First Response Course (EFR)
On completion of the Emergency First Response (EFR) Course, by applying the knowledge and skills taught within the course, you will be prepared to assist in a medical emergency.
You will be taught how to respond with confidence and by doing so perhaps even save a life.
There are three different course options offered which are Primary & Secondary Care (these can be completed as separate courses if required), Care for Children & CPR & AED. These courses can be completed as individual courses or as combined, for example if you are interested in learning the specific skills for children during your Primary & Secondary Care course then we could integrate the Care for Children course with this.
Duration of the course: 1 day
Prerequisites.
There are no prerequisites for this course. Anyone with the ability to help in case of medical emergency can complete the course. It is not necessary to be a certified diver.
The Emergency First Response Course will include a minimum 1 day session with an Emergency First Response Instructor. You will have a small knowledge review and quiz to complete for each section of the course. The course will be made up of reviewing the skill demonstrations and techniques with your instructor before practising them yourself, allowing you to progress at a pace which suits you.

PADI Rescue Diver
There are few actual diving skills taught during the Rescue Diver Course, but by completing this course it will ensure you are more comfortable and confident in the water by knowing how to, if necessary, correctly anticipate and respond to potential problems that may occur. Being able to deal with any potential problems for not only others but also yourself, can in turn make your dives more relaxing and rewarding.

Duration of the course: 3-4 days
Prerequisites.
- 12 years old.
Note: Divers of 12-14 year olds earn the PADI Rescue Diver certification.
- Certification as PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or Adventure Diver with Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive.
- EFR Training Primary and Secondary Care Within 24 months. (Training can be completed in conjunction with the Rescue Diver course).

The Rescue Diver course consist of a review of your own self rescue skills and techniques before being introduced to the skills to help others in need of an emergency. You will be taught all the skills ranging from assisting a tired and panicked diver to assisting unresponsive divers. You will practise these techniques and apply them to a scenario setting. There are five chapters to read and complete in the PADI Rescue Diver manual as well as reviewing the DVD.

PADI Specialities

These are some of the most popular:
Enriched Air.
Without a doubt the most popular specialty. Diving with enriched air (nitrox) you can reduce the absorption of nitrogen on each dive, reduce the surface interval between dives and extend your no decompression time on each dive.
Deep diving.
Learn to dive deep in a relaxed way and under safe conditions.
Peak Performance Buoyancy.
Learn the art of perfect weightlessness. Fine tune your buoyancy so you feel comfortable positioning yourself few centimetres above the bottom while observing aquatic organisms without touching them.
Underwater Digital Photographer.
Learn how to position your photos to get the best underwater images. We will also treach you how to look prepare and look after your camera pre and post dive.
Prerequisites.
The minimum age of some specialities start at just 10 yrs of age with a PADI Open Water Diver certification. Contact us for specific requirements.

The Speciality course doesn’t make you an expert in that field but what it does do is increases your awareness of that particular type of diving, the courses has minimal theory and depending on the Speciality, one, two, three or four dives (Contact us for detailed information).

- PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent or enrolled on the PADI Open Water course.

Note: 10-14 year old divers are certified as Junior Open Water Diver.

The PADI Enriched Air Course (Nitrox) can be done as a non-diving course and therefore can be completed in just a few hours, the theory is mostly about
- Discussing managing oxygen exposure.
- Practicing analysing oxygen in your tank.
- Setting your dive computer ready for your dive.
However if you would like we could include 1 or 2 optional nitrox dives as part of the course, contact us for further details.
